Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Essjay Electrical Services (“we”, “us”, “our”). By engaging our services or using this website, you agree to these terms.

2. Services

We provide domestic, commercial, industrial and emergency electrical services. All work is carried out by qualified electricians in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and relevant UK and Scottish regulations.

3. Quotations & Pricing

All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for a limited period unless stated otherwise. Prices may change if the scope of work changes or if unforeseen issues arise once work has commenced. Any variations will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.

4. Payment

Payment terms will be agreed prior to work commencing. Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may result in additional charges.

If overdue invoices are sent to a debt collection agency, the cost of this will be passed on to the debtor.

5. Access & Working Conditions

Clients must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and ensure the working environment is suitable. We reserve the right to halt work if unsafe conditions are identified.

6. Cancellations

We ask for reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may incur a charge to cover time and costs incurred.

7. Guarantees

We guarantee our workmanship. This does not cover faults caused by misuse, third-party interference, existing wiring issues outside the agreed scope, or normal wear and tear.

8. Liability

We hold appropriate public liability insurance. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes will be subject to Scottish courts.
